Where did I suggest otherwise? My whole point was to let the reviews be, but figure out a way to make them useful. 100k reviews complaining about not being able to buy Gamestop is not useful.

It seems like maybe the solution is not to remove reviews, but weight them somehow. 100k reviews left in 2 days probably shouldn't have the same weight as 100k reviews left over 2 years. Or a more sophisticated version of this would be

This can't be serious, can it? Cutting taxes from 16% to 0% will double the state's revenue? Everyone can attend any school they want for free? That's an obviously absurd promise to make. $1.6T is total US student debt, not j

It would be pretty shocking if Google were sharing search data with anyone, let alone Taboola. Others in this thread mentioned that Taboola used to have literal malware that would replace Google with a google-lookalike. Maybe you have that

I think the best evidence for Tesla doing poorly here (or maybe that LIDAR really is necessary) is precisely that they have all this data and still aren't doing as well as others. Tesla has a seriously absurd advantage here: they can o

It hasn't been even 1 day since a nearly identical thread was on the front page: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25823645 And I'm pretty sure we're averaging at least a few of these per week.

Huawei got its start by blatantly stealing IP from Cisco and other companies, which is essentially a large subsidy of R&D. That strategy was only possible because the Chinese government shielded them from legal problems. In other words,

The Mueller report is pretty damning. Unfortunately almost no one actually read it, and Barr's "summary" was allowed to dominate the news before it was released.

I think the disconnect here is that at least for a large part of RFA/RFE's history, simply broadcasting fair and accurate news was effective "propaganda". Whether that's still true today or not is not something that

I agree with this position. Too many people seem to be looking for a small "patch" to the law to fix the problems we have today, or just more banning and censorship is the solution (which is permitted by Section 230). I think shie
