This content could easily be a blog post and worth a read. But it’s in notebook form to make it interactive. It’s a tired comment narrative about these being about open source.

Also the text is enjoyably playful “For our GPU poor friends” and “let's proceed to justify our distaste for writing regex”

It doesn’t look that useful to use as it. But the approach there are investigating is clearly and well documented in plain text. Seems like a valid contribution to public knowledge to be grateful for, even if it can’t be use verbatim.

The success of TikTok was to use an interest graph rather than a social graph. The article doesn’t suggest Loops would use a interest graph but does mention a volunteer moderation of content: which gives the impression it wouldn’t scale to

They are two related and valid problems. In the UK, speed cameras are painted bright yellow. These are Raybans - designed for social dynamics - with the addition of a concealed camera. Both are “any camera” that can dig out realtime informa

I was going to comment about this. Worked at a place that had a “Robotics Department”, wow I thought. Only to find out it was automating arcane software. UI is now much more accessible as API. I hope we don’t start seeing captcha like behav

Given the timescales involved and brevity planetary conditions perhaps life is unlikely to observed nearby a star system. Perhaps instead it is to be observed in energy preserving vessels (i.e. emit nothing) in transit to the next fuel stop

Simple question: if true, would power consumption stay at 100% because we’d work the algorithm harder? I had assumed the latency etc were based on what was desirable for the use case and hardware, rather than power consumption.

The British museums license at least is creative commons non-commercial which would likely prevent them being used as something insignificant like easter egg as a license would need to be acquired.

I’d love it if the browser had the ability to suggest similar icons. I used an internal library that had this and it was super useful and often led to a better visual to express an idea.

I couldn’t find any mention of employees doing full-time childcare in the article. But I suspect you don’t really understand the issues. If you need an extra hour childcare because of your commute you are unlikely to find childcare that co

Oh, cool. I am too conditioned to assume no timezone means assumed to be US timeszones. Could be worth clarifying.

My kids play a game where they clap a rhythm and the next person has to clap the rhythm back _unless_ they clap to the rhythm of ‘try not clap this back’. Not tried your game yet… but wonder if this could be included.

The transcript is a pleasure to read. A familiar style to hear but not read. I can’t think of reading something written in the style of a YouTuber before but it is a animated read.

I’m not sure “hear scientific papers as narrated audio” best describes what this is. From the link: > Illuminate generates audio with two AI-generated voices in conversation, discussing the key points of select papers.

It’s not ill intent to have your article seen by as many people as possible. I find it hard to believe they have never considered there is an added benefit to publishing, on a world wide medium, the term UK.

The lenses that we view the questions also change. In the 1950s, people likely imagined that by the 2020s, roads would be rebuilt with technologies like magnets or rails to support self-driving cars. But they didn’t anticipate the inertia i

It is not clear from your comment why always doing it would not be clickbait-like. I am sure even the majority of Americans would assume that when the letters “UK” are used in isolation, it would mean the country and not a state university
