Hmm, this is a good reminder to host your status page outside your infrastructure.

Click on the OP's link and use your browser to find "PDFium is an open-source PDF rendering engine." Read the next line.

Read the description of the project. It's hosted here: https://pdfium.googlesource.com/

You can do this now. Just fire up an instance and blow it away. I once used it to download a Steam game and tunnel it through a non-quota-counting path back to my computer.

First-party parallel upload and splitting support immediately trumps s3cmd for me.

I guess one possible setup would be pdf.js running on server-side and having its output captured. One advantage of this, from what I can see, is that there would probably be fewer external dependencies than this setup.

I wouldn't call the Google Talk extension to be under the BSD license even though it is Google's. This extension is far simpler than that though. As for the original source, it's not in the Chromium repo: https://code.google.com/p/chromium

Any idea on the licensing issues? It would be great if Google "released" the source.

Teamviewer supports Linux but I'm interested to see if this does the sharing the screen and pointing thing better.

I toss PDFs I want to read on my phone into dropbox. This use case happens often for me. I have to consciously rename the PDFs I want to read in the next few moments with prepended names like ! so they appear at the top.

"It uses all the cool stuff your iPhone can do!" It doesn't seem to work on iOS 4.3.3 on an iPad 2. Does this work with iOS 5?

If a phone was rooted like as a action, the exploit to get root in the first place is probably still there.
