I’ve implemented email blocking recently where we stored a secure hash of the blocked email so we know we’ve seen it, but we don’t have it stored. So it is possible to do that correctly Discord probably doesn’t do that though

I don’t think it’s being oblivious. It’s being removed enough to forget the painful parts, but being aware enough at the time of the good parts. The painful parts decay faster than the good part memories, but schooling pain lasts forever!
