You only have to go on the job market to see what languages are the most popular; PHP, JAVA and the various .Net (Mostly VB and C#). JS is on the rise, but no one hires anyone to write just JS. It's usually JS and PHP (and of course, HTML

That's right, Office is everywhere. And they use that to leverage Sharepoint, Exchange and other systems. There's no shame in being number 1 in the corporate world and number 4 or 5 in the consumer market. :) Though they do have the xbox.

Spotify is good for popular music. But try being classical/opera fan and using Spotify. Though I hear it's getting better. I have a 120GB music library in iTunes. And most of it was ripped from CD's. I'm not happy about iTunes 11 due to Co

Other than Tatooine (which isn't a desert planet, by the way) and a sand worm (which appears in many stories), what parts of Dune you see lifted for Star Wars? The whole point of Dune was the vulnerability of the empire to a single resource

" How do you think Samsung feels?" Samsung feels fine. They're making billions. Oh by the way, Samsung deserves everything they get from Apple. Since Samsung has been down this road before; TV, business phones - it's a long list of products

It's not just Apple. It's all companies. When was the last time you tried to repair your washing machine under the warranty? Good luck. And it's software too. I can't remember the last time I installed a piece of software that wasn't fille

Good old Lotus 1-2-3. Brings back memories and a few horror stories. I remember Word Star from that era too. And dBase. Those 3 apps were in every office in New York.

But he wasn't president. Romney was managing a campaign. And a function critical to his campaign - you gonna tell me he wasn't involved? Or at least briefed? I mean, wasn't he expecting to see the results?

"If it was my campaign, I'd hang them out to dry." I doubt Romney even knew the details of this mess. I'd be surprised if he knows it now. As is typical of many "high level" exec's; Romney relied on the wrong people.

"The worst is the regression of html, xml and javascript we are forced to use.." History repeats itself. Full screen apps, to me are a throw back to the 80's (before Windows and the Mac); and "Cloud Services" sounds awfully like time sharin

Apple isn't even going after the "enterprise" market. The Mac works very well in a Windows server based network, with Exchange. So in other words, it's perfectly fine having Server 2012 (or 2008) with Exchange, SQL Server, Sharepoint (and a

The problem with Zynga is that they are dependent on FB (who takes a share of their revenue - which is even worse). That's a huge risk. Despite trying to step out from FB's shadow, they are still there- between a rock and a hard place.
