You have to understand Samsung. Cloning products cheaply is how Samsung creates a market. Sure they may have to layout cash to settle lawsuits (and they have). But in the end, it's a successful business model for them. They've grown to be a

"... so text will appear sharper..." It will also appear smaller. Much smaller. And the Fire requires Amazon. So instead of being tied to a computer you are tied to a website.

You're assuming it even ships at all. We've seen this story before with Alan. IF Textmate ships (don't hold you breath), and IF it has compelling enough new (and fixed) features that are above and beyond the various (free) plugins and other

Ok first of all.. the markets are always driven by fear. Fear of losing and the thrill of not losing (in other words, risk) is the whole point. So lets get that out of the way. Looking at this man, he's bet heavily on a crash so what would

I (we) use Google Apps. I'm assuming this would be another service. If we ever see it. Right now, it's vaporware. It took me months to "train" everyone in the office on how to use Dropbox. -Ok stop laughing. I'm dealing with doctors here.

There's a section on it. My first reaction was "Good god.. NO!!!! Not relational algebra!". After a cup of coffee I made through the 2 videos.

The board is not suppose to run the company. The "board" represents the shareholders (usually), overseas the CEO and sometimes runs PR. The CEO (and his exec's) are suppose to run the company. Now usually there's a nice co-existence between

I check in weekly. And only because ever member of my family (except for the kids, oddly enough) are on it. I"d love to ditch it. But I kind of want them to stay on FB. So I can be on Google + without the family and their drama. :)

About $500 million. Not counting clubs, his planes, cars, houses, etc, etc. he was fined by the SEC for $65 million and barred from ever being a CEO of a public company. He is not in jail. Also Countrywide is on the hook for 15 of that 65 m

I would agree with that. Expect the bank also lowered the required FICO score. 15 yeas ago you needed at least 610 score with a 15 to 25% deposit to buy a house. In 2006 you need a FICO score of 520 ad no deposit. You didn't even need job.

Oh really? In 2009 The Fed had brought 1.25 trillion in mortgages. And that was just in 2009. Research the Federal Open Market Committee or GSE's. The banks made it coming and going. And still are. I also wanna point out banking isn't the o

Because those "filed" banks didn't die, They merged. JP Morgan picked up Bear in a fire sale, for a billion. Bear's Office building in NYC was worth more. Lehman went bankrupt.. but our government (us taxpayers) had to eat the mortgages in

I wanna add something.. there is one saving grace in all this mess; investors, AIG, countries, other banks; are all suing each other. BofA is facing 4 major lawsuits which could cost it billons (total I think is 80 billion). That alone migh

Yay. About time the government did something for the consumer. Thought someway somehow, ATT will get it's merger. They'll just spread more cash around. Like TARP. Republican voted it down (for show). 4 days later they vote it up. At a cost
