Gambling addiction seems to be fairly common or recognized. It does not seem that it would be too far of a logical step for the same to happen with a mobile device. You can play on the thing for hours, in fact many games encourage you to

If I were NASA, I would actually pick Boeing for exactly the reasons you would disqualify them. They have a fairly proven, safe solution that could get astronauts into orbit and back. It would be expensive per launch, but since it is all

In general, I agree that it is hard to justify economically. I think cabinetry is one huge exception. I built a bowfront vanity for about $1100 instead of the $2200 it was in the store). There are certain tools and things you are just not

For most intents and purposes, the MTA is the government. NYS sets up lots of various quasi-governmental authorities, because the authorities can issue debt without having votes, whereas the state government needs to have voters approve bo

It isn't reasonable for the fares to be the same. They are determined by different transit agencies, and have different costs. The select bus service is a much different experience than the subway, and as such is priced much higher.

The unlimited doesn't make sense if you only use the subway twice a day (to and from work). You can roll the balance of a nearly expired card onto a new card, but I don't know if there is a way to recapture your $1 card fee.

GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, et. al. have already accepted an up-front fee in exchange for franchise agreements; so the franchise laws in that case protect the initial investment of a franchisee. There actually was some debate

As long as there is also not a personal property tax on top of the sales tax, the sales tax on the used car makes sense to me, being from New York. The atrocious part, is that the dealer is able to charge only a 4% rate instead of the 6+%

For demolition it shouldn't matter if it is a rental or not. If it would be habitable by an owner; then it shouldn't be demolished. The tenant may be evicted or he could be fined or something; which is fine, but he should still b

I am pretty sure part of the whole patent trolling business model is the asymmetric costs. The plantiff's costs are amortized over a number of suits; the the defendant's costs are not.
