Sure, distribute your own root CA, but then how do people get signed certificates? I tend to work with large companies, where getting a signed certificate involves opening a ticket and waiting for someone on the other side to respond. ACME

But, somewhat annoyingly, it is only seen as applicable to the public internet. There's no effort to make ACME based CAs for non-internet usage.

My experience is that often the lowest effort changes also have some of the biggest impacts. I work in consulting, and I think one of my largest impacts has been to create a pre-engagement checklist for one of our very common engagements an

No, under US law you are still responsible for bribery committed by your proxy, and have to have a process in place to ensure that all proxies follow anti bribery laws.

I've been at Red Hat so long now (12 years) that it can be easy to take things for granted, but the biggest thing is just how open and transparent a company it is. There's not a lot of silo's or little kingdoms fighting each

FWIW, self driving trains are a very different problem. With self driving cars, the approach has been to use sensors on the vehicle and make autonomous decisions based on that input. This will never work for trains, because their stopping d
