I tend to split route params and query params by their function: Query params tell me something _about_ how I want the data filtered, displayed, or grouped. Route params _identify_ the object or collection I'm retrieving.

You need to renegotiate your time off or find a different employer… As a related side note: unlimited time off gets a well deserved bad reputation, but there are plenty of real examples. A great indicator that it’s real is a minimum policy.
