I'm not sure I agree. You've missed the 3rd point the author made: Build feedback loops Sure you can procrastinate or eat that bag of chips - if your system sucks, then your system sucks. His last sentence: Goals can provide di

It's a clever tool for creating Ascii art. Not for everyone, but if you've ever tried to create boxes and lines in ascii, this is a tool that makes that so much easier . This is something I might use in source code to describe &#

I read your comment as being a cynical. Playing devil's advocate, assuming what you are saying is correct (customers were guinea pigs and this was all about the exit) - its really tough not sounding like a douche. When writing that sor

Yes, but did you know it was missing? My comment was to agree with the concept that its easy for me to blindly believe in what the big tech companies publish. Mapping or otherwise. I love Doctor Who episodes where on the surface everything

If you honestly think you've been downvoted for "asking a question", take a moment to think about the type of question you asked and the way you asked it.

It's not about losing money. It's about protecting their brand. Precedent is a slippery slope. Once you allow the "first" to copy your product, its so much harder to fight the 2nd or 3rd attempt.

There's a reason lawyers (generally) don't do fixed price. Or if they do, you are going to pay more for time and materials. I see articles all the time and just wonder, what did you expect? You can add whatever clauses you like (

(Like everyone else) Elance are out to make a dollar. The system isn't perfect, but show me a business that is. I think it was HIGHLY optimistic to have a budget of less than $1,000 and to think things would be pain free. It would hav

I've seen brands do this type of marketing in an attempt to build "buzz". I just find it so annoying and patronizing. If you have spare time (and money!) why wouldn't you put it into the product instead?

It really depends on how you view the event. If it is just a bunch of blokes hanging out, I can see (but do not agree!) with your point of view. If you see it is as even a semi professional event, then I do know how you could justify it.
