He didn’t really say that he expects to starve or anything like that, did he? I assumed that the framing of the article was something like this: doing business, technological development and working inside corporations. Not food security or

Was luck involved? To some degree I guess. But come on, to say it’s pure luck, is that credible?

I can warmly recommend switching to a more customer-oriented registrar. Porkbun seems to be quite popular. Personally, I’ve had very good experiences with Dynadot. They both support glue records. Porkbun also offers phone support. https:&#

IMHO, links to podcast episodes aren’t super well-suited for HN. Text works much better here. And in this case, there’s not even a transcript AFAICT. So what is the tl;dr? What are we supposed to take away from this podcast episode?

PS. Some people build aggregators to help people find events. Here’s one simple approach based on Hugo: Repo: https://github.com/gnistor-se/gnistor URL: https://www.gnistor.se/ (the docs and the site a

“Do you think they will grow in the coming years like it did for data scientists?” Maybe. But then the demand might also shrink quickly after a couple of years. Is it worth that risk? Only you can decide.

Not sure it really matters that much in this case. But why not? Hard links are a quite clean and simple concept. One “object”, multiple names.

For a business site I would either put up a contact form or just write the address out in plain text. Don’t make the customer work to get in touch – unless you already have more work than you can handle.

ChatGPT. Not perfect, but it’s useful as a sparring partner and can save a lot of time. Goblin Tools are pretty cool too: https://goblin.tools/

Why only $1? That’s like one-fifth of a flat white. If you can sell your thing for $1 you can probably sell it for $2 or $3 or more. Or bundle it with something?

I see. Would it be possible to make those services write to an object store or a database instead? To me, that seems much more container-compatible. However, have a look at https://github.com/just-containers/s6-overlay

To me it seems like that would defeat the purpose of containers. Why would you want to? With that said, it might be possible if you use a process supervisor like s6, or maybe systemd.

Yes, but you can outsource that part to Digicert et al, so that you don’t need to buy the HSM yourself.
