I can't agree with many of the comments here. I have a 7 year old reddit account, go there daily, am still subbed to many defaults, and I just haven't seen many of the accusations of terribleness and the inevitable downfall that

HN's strategy of burying unpopular posts is very, very strange to me. While reddit's is similar, at least you can disable it manually - to do that for HN would require tampermonkey or the equivalent. Half the time I wind up just

Guess I'll be that guy - the design and content is nice and well done, but this is just bootstrap copy/paste to me; I don't see a lot of "coding talent" evident. Not to say he doesn't have it, but creating a si

Kids aren't for everyone. Part of self actualization is not tying the value of your self worth onto the shoulders of someone else and that includes children. Have kids for your own reasons, not because you're bored or because yo

Well mistakes happen - a phone screen can only get you so far, especially in a seller's market where your talent pool is pretty shallow. Though I think a shared google docs interview is probably the best way to go for the initial scre

Rebecca Murphey also said this today but in my experience I'm not really seeing it. Just checked job listings now and all front end positions heavily promote HTML and CSS with minor exceptions for more JS heavy roles. More telling is
