It sounds like he tried, and determined that he was unable to sufficiently influence the outcomes on his own. It's conceivable that, by drawing attention to his concerns, his resignation can prove to be more productive than remaining

The real problem with JSX is that it's almost HTML, but not quite, so you constantly have to fight against your assumptions about how it should work. At least JS is really just JS, and developers have been reading, mentally modeling

> you can write dependency free views Well, explicit-dependency-free, but there's still an implicit dependency on the tag names. Granted, those are just standard HTML, but something is lost by not checking them at compile time. OT

This is brilliant. Very excited to see more applications like this making great use of the possibilities of Rust+WASM. One thing that stuck out to me was the exploded-struct callback mechanism for reporting Mappings back to JS. I've

Your argument isn't internally consistent. Webpack, Babel, TypeScript, Grunt, and Gulp are all implemented in JS (or TS for TS). Sometimes there are npm packages that are just wrappers for other projects, but those are usually short-l

Respectfully disagree. "User cannot log in as root if root user is disabled" is absolutely a test case that should be written regardless of previously seeing the bug.

In additions to the methodology concerns you raised, I have to question the use of a "linear" trend line, particularly when one axis is arbitrary buckets of unequal size.

It's painful to see an article this long discussing typefaces in detail that uses the word font incorrectly so many times. In casual usage I let the mistake by, but the author of this article really should know better. The visual desi

I think there is a concern in our society that both men and women tend to spend an inordinate amount of time judging and commenting on the appearance, tone, and other superficial characteristics of women. If we're to make effective pr

This is hilarious: one of those curious pursuits of an enigmatic genius. My personal favorite diamond sign (one that Knuth has yet to cover) is the Patagonia wind advisory [0]; when we first saw one on our trip there we spent about half an
