I actually disagree with the assessment that fonts 'look better' on macos. They are blurrier and inconsistent. The linked tweet explains all this. I don't know how the conclusion can be 'it looks better' when it

When I used to use brew, most of the time was brew doing housekeeping. You could see the title bar change processes twenty times a second, often ruby, as it did whatever it was doing, even for simple commands like search or before upgrade c

Using actual throughput would be a nice improvement over using link speed. In this case, just detecting the current throughput is a tiny fraction of the link speed and falling back to another link would be a huge improvement.

If running native ports of server software isn't your cup of tea, you can run Linux containers on macos.

And it seems like Apple and the courier company have managed to externalize this risk to the customer (assuming the OP's story is true).

At some point, I'd hope the result of zooms code quickly becomes something that can be hardware decoded. Otherwise the CPU, battery consumption, and energy usage are going to be through the roof.

Why decode to then turn around and re-encode?

It would be $2,199 for the highest end CPU and the 64GB of memory but I think you're point remains: the Studio is not a great buy until it receives the M4 upgrades.

I was fired from Microsot a year ago because of a "lack of growth mindset" because I was critical of using ChatGPT in a healthcare (direct patient care) setting until hallucinations were under control.

Yes, but I suspect the 64GB of memory in the studio compared to 24GB in the mini the is going to make that studio a lot faster in many real-world scenarios.

Power consumption is a good contender for reasons to stick with rpis. The rough, quick search numbers I'm seeing for idle power are ~6w for the N100 SCB and ~1 to 2w for the pi. Max performance is like ~15w to ~4w.

It's not just DDL that isn't transactional, there's a whole bunch of other things that aren't. And they break the transactionality silently. It's like an obstical course where bumping into something might be fatal.

Bing chat does something similar. It suggests going to the settings for the unrelated, now-defunct product also called bing chat. These settings no longer exist and there is no way to turn it off.

I took zero that didn't fulfill a requirement. I presume anything else would have been cost more in time and money than value I'd get from it. It would almost certainly delayed graduation and sucked up free time and added stress.
