Sometimes submissions that don't get traction originally get merged into a more recent one that becomes popular. Though... `past` link doesn't show anything else, but that might be because it was merged?

I've never heard of MOSFETs being used in extra-high voltage systems, but I have not been following the industry for a while. Do you have any links? I've only seen IGBTs or older technology used.

You wouldn't have to any more than you need 0 through N frames in memory to calculate frame N+1. Whatever your decoding state completes at frame N can be considered a key frame.

The latter aren't being researched for CPUs, which are small things. They're for applications like long-distance power transmission, electric motors, and more. Things which aren't feasible to cryocool.

It makes better sense than curtailing solar or wind production. 50% is better than zero. That being said, hydrogen is usually the worst option, but I don't think that's true for every scenario.
