The secret sauce may lay in the business model. Selling apps at 99c or more doesn't seem to be profitable. Giving them away in a freemium model however, may prove worthwhile. Social games do really well with virtual goods. I don't know how

I'm actually 2 months into learning to program Javascript for the Unity3D engine. I've learned a lot in 8 weeks, and I'm happy I took the time to commit to it. I could actually start prototyping my own basic mobile games with Unity, somethi

You do it to increase the accessibility to your product. Facebook and Mint don't want you going to other services, they profit because your data and attention is with them. If they can take advantage of platforms like mobile to engage you e

Well, there might just be a difference in the way we see things. Its comments like these that bug me: I started this thread by arguing that people brought here as children deserve more leniency. Obviously, we don't hold children to the sa

Right, although I never said to open the border, nor hinted at any specific solutions. More so, I asked for you to see the situation in a different light. I think its really easy for you (or others) to say "country's full, you'll have to ge

Because other kids who might have liked to live in the US and go to a top university didn't get to. And some are lucky enough to simply be born in the US, and squander those opportunities anyway. I think its a bit funny to be citing "the

You sound hugely naive. How old are you? I would suggest not worry about the legalese for now, or even looking so far ahead. Just start your project, try to get a few customers, and go from there. Those steps alone will take you far longer

Pretty funny, but also disappointing. Regarding this kind of ignorance: does new media simply make it easy for people to say stupid regrettable things, or does the "stream of consciousness" expose real issues at the root of racism? I mean t

Honestly, I don't think any goofy joke, prank, or noise will actually help wake me up on a consistent basis. Its far too easy to just ignore the phone or alarm clock and go back to sleep.

Disagree with your opinion on resume 2.0. Resume landing pages are marketing plays: they're targeted advertisements meant to get you attention. Given 10 applicants of equal talent, who do you choose to give your time and attention to? This

Yuck, legal documents? I'd suggest spending it on things that really matter, like user acquisition. You especially don't need a lawyer to write up TOS until you actually have a user base, imo.

It would be my opinion that PG probably doesn't care. If this wasn't already clear, we're not looking for the sort of obedient, middle-of-the-road people that big companies tend to hire. We're looking for people who like to beat the system
