Hmm. I think I'd rather have services that disconnect/warn properly when fed invalid/other-protocol data (in a world with or without port numbers). I really liked your reply :-)

I do not think this would be so - you would still be under the same route summary/network prefix advertised to you by your ISP's gateway :> Not everyone would get an IPv6 address like this so I do see the waste otherwise ~

A year or so ago it seemed like SCTP was actually going to be a thing someday. If SCTP did become the protocol we transition TCP/UDP to - should port numbers stay? (iyo)

In regards to Coffeescript over ES6, I still turn to CF for these: 1) postfix conditionals 2) list comprehensions (will probably be in ES7) 3) the .litcoffee format 4) use of -> or => for defining functions unbound/bound to `this

Similarly, we should stop caring about domestic surveillance by the gov because the gov has been doing it for years and we've only learned of it now. /s Btw, using Google Analytics is a lot different than using an Oracle database

I think the original guy meant they exist because humans voted to protect them for our enjoyment. I don't think we're protecting these sites (national parks) simply to exist. The land would be too useful for other functions to j
