Hell yes, stay off the wall. That's the reason most people don't use Facebook login, they're scared it will put something on their wall. If Facebook had any sense they'd force the API to ask permission and show the user what will be posted

I think the web could handle a fully re-imagined stack. So long as it adhered to well defined standards and kept dns, with buy in from the major browsers the two stacks could co-exist.

What I love about web apps is that they're so ephemeral. You open it, try it, close the window, and it's gone. And it only comes back if you ever go to that domain again Downloading an app, worrying about spyware, having something run const

I don't know, I regard it as pretty hackerish to solve 'the money problem' once off and spend the rest of your life hacking. Getting crazy rich and becoming a rockstar entrepreneur, not so much, but automating the rent and bill problem once

It's also a good thing to have a company finally fail rather than just not quite die perpetually. It frees up their engineers and other talented people to go pursue a company with maybe a bigger or more contemporary vision for adding value

Integration with the small couriers systems would be a problem. You'd probably have to design the thing end-to-end then get them to migrate (note: I'm only just discovering EDI, it might be thai this isn't as big a problem as it appears)
