It tries to be too many things to too many people, can't do a good enough job on any of it. Not really worth the investment.

Yes, I think we just disagree on how different and special Ember Data is.

I'm not sure how Ember Data is different beyond providing a smarter interface to collections and models than BackBone.

>Other frameworks are not trying to solve data persistence and loading beyond delegating to HTTP I don't think that's true, given how Backbone and Angular are designed.

I plan to make my next website for mainland China, I really need to know that IE is going to work fine here and which versions thereof.

Greek tragedy tier hubris backfire. (Speaking as a user of Postgres and MongoDB, I'm way more worried about the latter screwing me than the former.)

Not to break up the design rebellion but the green button signup button gradient could've been done in a more appealing manner that would've retained the implied business goals.

I'm contracting specifically so that I can allocate time flexibly in order to found my own company. You're essentially scorning me for taking my own path towards what you did. Baffling hypocrisy.

How long did you contract for before you quit and decided it was somehow easier to found your own company?

I'd call 4 out of 6 years working self-employed a long time for a 24 year old. Your snark isn't appreciated.

There are plenty of things that are worse about working with a client but I find they bother me less than other people. There are things that are better too. Asserting your independence and keeping a distance is a good place to start there.

I prefer working with clients to having a boss. I prefer having customers to having a client. You're always answerable to someone or something, even if it's begging daddy to refill that trust fund. I add 2 months of runway for each week I w

I didn't mean just insurance either. Independence and the ability to come and go as I please is more valuable to me than whatever risk/reward calculation you're working with in your head.

I value independence and eventual ramen profitability far, far higher than the average person. A life spent working for other people instead of customers or fans is a huge risk and I'm running from it.

I've been contracting for a long time, I know the risks and it's not just about the money. It's about the self ownership. Of course it's better for the company, they want the ability to coerce the employee and hold their livelihood/healthca

Based on how he's valuing his PTO, he's valuing his time at either $328, $218, or $447 per diem. I hope he's not valuing his PTO based on the salary he's getting. I'm a 24 year old with no college degree and I currently cost about $800 per

Casper.js (and Phantom, for that matter) has been pretty buggy and difficult to work with for me. Had better luck with Selenium, which makes me unhappy because I'd rather use something more code oriented.
