Why oh why would you link to a short summary of the real article? Is this what they call "blogspam"? Real article: http://www.dailydot.com/news/reddit-ban-porn-mods-nsfw-bribe...

And how would we know that has happened? The parent comment suggests it was obvious which downloads were malware just by using Installous.

You tried a couple of times yet managed to come across enough malware to describe it as such? I've been using Installous for a long time and have never come across any "malware" on it. Also, isn't iOS sandboxing designed to ensure no rogue

I see where you're coming from about a VPS, but for most people, a $15/year VPS would be perfect for their needs. Granted, it only has 128MB-256MB RAM, the 10GB space and 500GB bandwidth per month is fine for a few thousand visitors per day

These sort of chips have their GPU included as well, don't they? If it's anything like the Mali in the S3, i'd be really really happy.

Can someone clear something up for me? Are these chips comparable to the one in the Raspberry Pi? And are these developer boards are vastly more powerful than the Pi? I'm not trying to start any arguments, i know the real purpose of the Pi

I would use a free version with ads for yourselves after a certain amount of elements are used. Also, is there any way these apps will compile on a Windows machine? I don't need to be deployed to the App Store, i could install via Cydia (.d

There will always be fanboys, but the sheer amount of Apple fanboys on HN is amazing. For a community with a supposedly higher intellect than others, to resort to petty comparisons and worshiping of a corporate giant is seriously pathetic.

Even if thunderbolt provided enough bandwidth, wouldn't the whole idea fall apart because the data has to pass through another protocol (making it slower) vs having the GPU directly interfaced?

I recommend installing the refocus skin (sadly it's not in the repo but you can grab it here: http://xbmc-focus.googlecode.com/files/skin.refocus.release-... and install via USB), it gives me around 10 extra FPS over the stock Confluence

I think the genius he's referring to is the fact that they're trying to get educational institutions and students hooked on Dropbox, who could then go on to deploying Dropbox for the whole university (unlikely, but it could happen one day)

Try OpenELEC and XBian. They're much much smoother at the menu (over 60fps at 1080p when you disable the RSS ticker on OpenELEC). It helps if you overclock the already overclocked Xbian too. I have mine set on around 920MHz (no change in vo

Hi, nice site you have there. I found a few tiny mistakes under "About Us", specifically: "The /book book/ didn't make him rich, but it did sell enough /copied/..." Just trying to help :)

My 4th gen white iPod Touch (shipped with iOS 5) is on iOS 6 now and i find it much smoother than iOS 5, apart from the App Store. The low RAM does get in the way when you switch to other apps and need to wait a few seconds for it to reinit

Which Python version would you recommend to someone just starting to learn the language? I know "Learn Python the Hard Way" focuses on Python 2.7, and "Learning Python (4th Edition)" focuses primarily on Python 3.

So it /matches/ the quality of Google's data in select few countries? Does it ever exceed Google's quality? Because it sure is worse than Google's quality in most other countries. Pardon me for expressing my disappointment.

Have you ever considered using GDIPP or Mactype? I used both, GDIPP doesn't work with Chrome so i switched to Mactype a few months back. Everything looks great, but in some situations, certain letters don't show up (like the lowercase "l")

I'm interested in how animations work with Pixate. Would they also have to be in CSS, if not, then how smooth/seamless would transitions be? Looks good so far though, but 200k?
