And while you're at it, put invisible texts saying "upvote" inside the link tags so I could click it using Gleebox.

It takes me around 4 seconds to type in a task with MyLifeOrgainzed. (Can be 2-3 seconds for short tasks.) No need to open the app, it's always open, just press a shortcut key to bring up a dialog for adding a task.

I've been expecting this for months, and as I guessed, it's pretty disappointing. I think that SmartGit is a much better GUI for Git on Windows. Just the fact that it doesn't have keyboard shortcuts is a dealbreaker.

Update: Django uses `bpython` by default if `ipython` isn't installed! Woohoo!

What would make me use this is a way to get Django to use it when you launch `manage.py shell`, similarly to ipython. One advantage over ipython I see here is that it doesn't use sqlite (I think), so it might run on Heroku.

Here's what will make me use this: Keyboard shortcuts for everything, including text-styling when composing a message. I want to be able to use 100% of GMail's functionality without ever touching the mouse. If your product would do that, an

You're just using the word "value" in a different way. I meant "value" as in the 7.

Sure, I understand all of that. I'm just saying it's unusual to see a lambda function throwing away the value like that.

I think you misunderstood which value gets thrown away. Consider this: >>> g = lambda x: 7 >>> f = lambda: g((yield)) >>> list(f()) [None] Can you tell me where the 7 went to? As far

I wouldn't really describe it as a "constant and tangibly real" fear. Most Israelis will never see a terror attack in their lives. I can say that I spent the 25 years of my life in Israel without seeing anything like a terror attack, or gun

Thanks for this manifesto patio11! I read it a couple of times and thought how I could apply it to my career. There are 2 parts in it that I have difficulties with, and I'd appreciate clarifications: ----------------------------- "In the re

I agree that it's interesting to see these numbers. But, take into account that Chrome sees much more intensive development than all these projects. Progress is a more fitting measure than time.

Or possibly faster than a dict lookup: An array or a list of strings where the index number is the ordinal number of the character. So `array[ord('(')] == '&#(;'`.

I wonder whether it'll be more efficient to just have a big dict mapping every character to what it should look like post-escape. (e.g. {'a': 'a', '(': '&#(;', ... }) Then in your loop you're only making dict lookups.
