Realistically there's not much those companies can do to stop these sorts of things without pretty serious and expensive changes to our current infrastructure. At least I don't think...

It's already happening. There are deep fake for pay SWAT attack services happening in the US every day right now. Just wait, there's way worse things people can do at scale with these tools...

love getting down voted for sharing joy in mutual overlapping discovery. This happens all the time in science and in math... I was using these sort of constructs for information theoretic explorations that attempted to extend physical laws

It's just funny to me how people are stumbling on things I found pieces of to solve problems years ago. Keep on keeping on thinkers

There are lots of bosses. But very very few leaders. One requires skill, the other requires politics.

You described the symptoms of psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists in a single sentence. Research these personality disorders. It will bring you peace and explain the majority of malfunctions in the world. Specifically look into the soci

Thanks for sharing these tools. Do you have any blogs or open access journals sharing this notation? It seems very simple, I'd love to use it

That's part of it. There's also the risk of clandestine operators discovering easily made chemical weapons that do not require a professional lab to create them in bulk. A nation state, or well funded terrorist group could exploit

Even if they catch this person it could be some random psychopath in a country that doesn't cooperate with us law enforcement. Everyone's worried about AI taking their jobs and becoming an evil overlord of the world... They'v

I stumbled upon this document on a friends kindle maybe 5 yrs ago. It was attributed the same. Think it is or was distributed for free in the Kindle bookstore and they downloaded every free book.

Not really. You can build a pocket raman spectrometer for probably 1000usd max. Refractive index based classification across wavelengths is probably not going to help you find allergens. Unless you isolate the allergen from the mixture then

My experience is that there are far simpler, faster, and well known models to perform this type of classification and that the premise of this study is flawed in so many ways it could have absolutely no utility at all if attemptedly impleme

This paper is pretty weak. Sorry to bust the AI hype train on this but collecting the refractive index of compounds a bunch of wavelengths is completely possible, but not revolutionary. I did it at a job, and so have my friends. In some wa

This is a reality of being a software developer anywhere. If you need a job or money, and someone is offering, you will probably take the job. Viral is a nice person, I've met them once before. I sincerely doubt their involvement in an
