...What? You're saying it's not zero sum because to make it zero sum you should include the big profitable corporations that are pumping in money? True it's not zero sum but that's like saying a casino isn't zero

Not sure that's Occam's razor any more. Regardless lazy loading needs widespread use to be most effective so having a unified syntax and no extra dependencies makes a lot of sense.

Official is a weird concept though. Turns out Dutch law never really bothered to define an official language, Dutch simply is the de facto standard and is required for a lot of things making it effectively the standard. This makes Dutch Sig

I'm also inclined to believe the reason for the decision was intelligence and not politics, because if it was political the parties responsible likely wouldn't shut up about until the next election. As of now there's been eff

Can't wait for the time when everyone is running an LLM on their phone so you can ask them to write their own rebuttals as well.

I'm not seeing De Morgan. I am seeing inclusion exclusion, which is just a neat trick all round. Highly recommend remembering it. I imagine negative filters to be a bit inefficient as well, though maybe not for a simple count.

That's the difference between illegal an unreachable. To reach that position you'd need to start from a different point (start both sides with 16 pawns or w/e), but you wouldn't need to break any other chess rules.

The accepted solution is to have a constitution that says otherwise. Which is a bit complicated here, as the EU has no real constitution and this 'law' (really a regulation) is a blatant violation of the constitutions of countries

Took me a while to figure it out but is the last graph supposed to display both addition and multiplication as '. * .'? It makes it a bit hard to read which expressions are equivalent. And for visualisation purposes commutativity

Technically the article is saying the graphs are dense. Which might make sense, but using sparse matrices to represent sparse graphs is not unusual.

This looks interesting. Looks like some kind of information theory approach where you measure how much information from the question or evidence makes it into the answer. Sadly it's very hard to figure out what this is doing exactly an

They could, that very qr code is on there and contains the product number and serial number inside a URL query that links to qr.electrolux.com. The page loads but doesn't offer to register the product, which is probably for the best.

No you see chatgpt is doing the thinking for us now, instead of using your own brain to struggle with a puzzle that is trivial to solve for a simple algorithm you can let a language model struggle with it for you! You get all of the enjoyme

You could go a step further by putting the suffixes themselves into the trie and then identifying identical subtrees. If you can use gzip there's bound to be a clever way of using a suffix array as well, that might end up being better
