If AI was so good, you would think we could give people a choice whether or not to use it. And you would think it would make such an obvious difference, that everyone would choose to use it and keep using it. Instead, I can't open any

So there's no point in pushing for pasture raised, and it's either all or nothing ? I think incremental progress is possible. I think rolling back and gag laws would make a positive difference in animal welfare because people woul

I would much rather lobby for ending ad gag laws, and fighting for better treatment of animals. I think its more realistic than getting people to give up meat entirely

I've tried many times here to voice my reservations against AI. I've been accused of being on the "anti AI hype train" multiple times today. As if there isn't a massive pro AI hype train. I watched an nfl game for t

So far the 2 answers you've received are killing people and sending emails. I don't think either of those are particularly valuable to the society I'd like to see us build. We're already incredibly dialed in and efficien

I can't imagine the community here changing how they feel. I think one of the biggest divides between pro/anti AI is the type of ideal society that we wish to see built. His rant reads as deeply human. I don't think that'

The only way to phase out meat is to make a replacement that actually tastes good. Come to the american south and ask them to try tempeh. They'll look at you like you asked them to eat roaches. It's a cultural thing.

Finally someone echoes my sentiments. It's my sincere belief that many in the software community are glazing AI for the purposes of career advancement. Not because they actually like it. One person I know is developing an AI tool with

15 years ago I tried it and got that path error. 1 year ago I tried again and still got the same error. I'm well aware that it's simple enough to fix. But I was baffled that the same error was still there.

I wanted to express similar sentiment, but I didn't understand how I would without leaving a rule breaking comment. It's my sincerely held opinion that we're fostering a culture here that ignores the "human impact"

This seems like a pretty loosey goosey study. How do you realistically quantify someone's "overall happiness in life" and "burnout risk" into 1 number ? I'm not sure how they did the control group, but I would

God every website is such garbage these days. 1 second timer, full page pop up. Geolocation logging to sell to advertisers... I'm just not gonna read the article. It's a shame cause it looks interesting
