I didn't enter this profession because I love reviewing code though.

That has not been my experience and I have a project that started in 2017 with PHP 7.1 & Symfony 3.3 and is now at PHP 8.4 & Symfony 7.3 with plenty of dependencies. Not everything will always update flawlessly but with Composer and

Well good news, the Cloudflare error page gave me a perfect PageSpeed Insights score for a bit.

The world won't collectively decide to ban phone gps and bluetooth music, hence "it's not realistic".
131.
by conradfr 11mo ago
That's not realistic due to GPS and music. Maybe a warning with a eye tracker or something...

What constitutes "too expensive" for a company making more than $30B per year in profits?
135.
by conradfr 1y ago
Why? In Juce isn't that a matter of choosing multiple build target?

Is there a built-in way to bypass the request to the registry if your base layers are cached?

That's also where I'm at. For any project with UI (and auth/auth etc) I went back to Symfony (and Vue). I can't stand Phoenix templating especially layouts and I couldn't convince José of the greatness of template i

Oban is good but they should have a more reasonable tiers for their paid offering, the Pro plan is quite steep and is a bit all or nothing.

What scaling and load balancing do you need if you pay $0 per month?

How much had Obama done in 2009? Maybe they forgot the criticism from back then.

I use Stimulus with Symfony for small interactions and I quite like it, small and well designed api IMHO. Didn't try the whole Turbo/Hotwire thing though. I usually use Vue for complex pages / need of state.

by conradfr 1y ago
But isn't that exactly what they were trying to not do as their problem was the api users and not their internal use?

Well it's nice that Firefox maintains a security updated version on Windows 7 (Chrome doesn't) but it's missing the new features.

Well I'm on macOS because I have a M1 laptop... Also I use a lot of audio softwares and it's hard to run them on Linux, I would need to try how much those download managers (another rant worthy subject) and Windows VSTs can really

I could have stayed on Windows 7 for the rest of my life. I use macOS now and basically hate it. (but to be honest I have never used Windows 11 and barely used 10)
