Why would I pay for a Jetbrain IDE if it's the same as the free one? Although to be honest I kind of pay for it more for the git integration than the editor (especially as the non-official Elixir plugin is not that great) and I guess t

Jetbrains designers have been followers for some time. They used to copy Adobe products, I guess now they want to copy Visual Studio Code. They should remember that when Firefox copied Chrome it didn't make it more successful.

Does he have a specific framework in mind? Because most of the problems he lists do not exist in Symfony AFAIK, for example.

All web frameworks fail with forms one way or the other :) I think one point would be the docs, to outline the basic cases, best practices. Maybe something tying the form helpers and changeset together. I have a side project [0] with a form

Well yes, not sure why I got downvoted, if I use a language called TypeScript it may be because I think type checking is important. Having to call tsc separately from my dev/watch process is not a good developer experience. Same as wit

I transitioned from a OnePlus 5 on Android 9 to a Google Pixel 7 on Android 13. Sure the screen is bigger and better (but not breathtaking at a reasonable brightness), photos are way better for sure, but the rest, meh. The battery life is n

Oh this is a trash ... I thought it was a keyboard icon that would allow me to setup a midi keyboard but was non-functioning. Yeah adding a cable is a bit frustrating instead of just adding one when you click on a jack input (like in Reason

Pick one framework between Symfony and Laravel and follow the docs. Maybe read https://stitcher.io posts about the new features since 8.0 to have a grasp of the language changes.

Sure, but I find it less readable and more verbose than your usual constants. Also you can't pattern match on a function return value IIRC. Or maybe I didn't find the right syntax, I get "invalid pattern in match" or &qu

Migrating from Vue2 to Vue3 is not that hard with the compat layer of Vue 3.1, it allows you to convert your code progressively. I'll guess Vuex -> Pinia is more work.

I would say a life or death years old bug still present in the newest model (on which I'm writing this) is newsworthy. Although I'm not sure how there's no legal repercussion here?
