They are making lot of enterpise bucks though. And they did start as Open Source. Killing it midway to serve their convenience is the issue. There's also tonne of Open Source that isn't as popular but serving niche communities. It

It's still limited to just one party, that's heavily regulated for compliance. Not perfect, but a step better than exposing to apps that can have bigger surface area of exposure.

Technology for all the above existed in rudimentary form, faster Internet, faster machines and adoption was missing. But Current bets are assuming AGI. No one knows how soon. To predict that would be foolish.

This is the 'problem' I need solved as well. Sync across multiple Financial institutions is a nightmare. If the CSV import can be automated with some Plaid/simplefin bridge that's reliable, I think it would be a nobraine

Kindle scribe if you can get it for cheap. I think it goes for $240 sometimes and it's a steal for 10 inch of eink. Not the best for writing, PDF may have few rough edges but pretty decent overall.

There isn't one yet / We can't see it. You're trying to predict an Industry (like the Tech Industry) that will grow beyond $1 Trillion and a company that provides a fundamental and ubiquitous tool (like Search).

A lot of corporate environment is perception manipulation. I feel it borrows a lot from the general public perception manipulation that companies and governments do which is through ads and media. There needs to be a better way to go about

Similar problem, since my personal home server may sometimes need a restart and may be unreachable, I need something like this that works over the Internet. I use a cheap smart plug and PC auto start on power setting and it works beautifull
