I wouldn't consider 30%+ percent of the global mobile phone market irrelevant. There market share is, in fact, up in the 4th quarter of 2010 according to Wikipedia.

I didn't realize how big the disparity in the number of employees is between IBM and Apple. 426,571 for IBM vs. 49,400 for Apple

I heard this on the radio on the way to work this morning. The obvious thing that came to mind was the technology used to build the pyramids.

To give a counter-anecdote, the organization I work for bought several Google Search Appliances and we have had excellent support. Granted, GSAs are not cheap. However, I do think Google has the organizational capacity to provide good supp

What depresses me about it is that their basic argument is "too much free speech is a bad thing". Really? Have people become so uncritical that we need to protect them from themselves by limiting the most powerful communication/free speech

There was a great article in the New York Times about how the USDA is simultaneously trying to get people to eat more cheese while telling them that saturated fat is bad for them. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/07/us/07fat.html

I wonder how casinos get away with seemingly blocking cellphone signals. In my experience whenever you go near a slot machine or table game in a casino, cell signal drops to zero.

Why would an attacker give up? The site may stay online but you are still having to pay thousands of dollars+ in bandwidth costs. It seems like a win-win for the attacker.
