This is super interesting. I've wanted to get an e-reader for a while now, but I'd really like to be able to read the articles I have saved in Wallabag[1] on it so I could go fully offline for a day or two a week. One potential so

Had a quick look on Github for this, but didn't find any repo. Is it open-source? I would love to contribute to and self host this. Specifying my own news sources and layout on my own service would be ideal for me :)

docker-compose was really the paradigm shift I needed when it came to containers and now I'm whole-heartedly on board with containerization. No reason something like the compose syntax (or similar) couldn't be a common, shared fro

Sorry, my comment may have appeared relatively thoughtless but you've hit upon the crux of the point, right? If this is the Nth top comment saying the same thing, and if it is so commonly asked in similar situations, then what actually

I heard a point recently about driving in bus lanes as a private car: If it's just a repeated fine with no further consequence, it's not a fine but a cost. What happens next?

It's your job to be a responsible consumer and find alternatives that best suit your needs. It's quite likely you won't find one that has the Amazon selection and pricing, but that's because people are taking the cheap,

I don't personally listen to audio books, so hopefully someone can chime in with some helpful alternatives? From a quick search though, it looks like https://libro.fm/ is where I would start looking with an Audible alt

Can everyone please just stop using Amazon products already? I'm sick of hearing people complain about them and still say "but they're too convenient" or "I've no other option!". You do. Stop using Amazon

I have used Anki extensively in the past. It works decently for me, but the primary issue I have is that there's no streamlined way to add information I have found. e.g. if I hear read a figure I want to remember, I have to go take out

Never (or at least very rarely!) this in particular is why I find it frustrating, I feel like I am actively engaging to the best of my ability. This is a good alternative for me to think about, to search for some more active watching practi

I always appreciate a discussion about surveillance capitalism as it's one of the roots of many, many world problems in today's world. This is such a disgusting, predatory invasion of privacy and it's as pervasive as portraye

I agree, and that's exactly what they had done before now! I am glad they've done this and think it's a good thing all round, but it would be nice for the expectations to shift and the standards we hold companies to be higher
