One missing feature for me is a tree view of the project folder [1]. A contributor is working on that [2]. [1] https://github.com/helix-editor/helix/issues/200 [2] https://github.com/helix-edi

I am mostly happy with Thunderbird. However, I had a lot of difficulties to obtain a unified inbox/sent for each of my mail account. I succeeded by creating saved search under local folders for each mail account that unifies inbox and

Because you are already acustomed to ssh? I personaly use GPG. However, GPG looks complex and the ergonomics of GnuPG cli is horrible.

I accept that a library should not be bundled into a single file. However I use esbuild instead of tsc for trans piling my code. It is blazing fast and make a quick write-transpile-test feedback.

In my experience, you may encounter issues when you depends on pure esm package and cjs-only packages. IMHO, it is still useful to publish a cjs fallback.

It could be nice to have import-maps composability. However, I don't think it is planned because browsers' import-maps are not composable. I dislike the deps.ts concept. It is one of the main reason I did not switch to Deno yet.

The post is wrong about Deno's node comparability. Deno has actually a node compat mode [1] [1] https://deno.land/manual/node/compatibility_mode

I follow bun since the start and its author has achieved a tremendous work! However, I am a bit afraid of the rapid growth of the project. I could appreciate a slower growth in order to think twice about the direction of the project. It cou

ESbuild is much more mature than bun. The author of ESbuild cares a lot about compatibility with other bundlers and stability. Moreover it is already insanely fast. I am not sure there is any interest to switch from ESbuild to bun for bundl

Agreed. Some project attract attention just because it is written in Rust. Although Rust is well-designed, the language does not make everything.

Bun parser is a translation in Zig of ESbuild's parser. ESbuild parser is already well tuned. Bun takes zig advantages to go further.

-v is also used for --verbose. In this case -V is often used for --version. Another common option I am thinking about is -r for --recursive. I could advocate to use only commonly accepted short options.
