I used to use PHP Webstorm. Its lightning fast search is awesome, but it slows to a crawl for large codebases.

I concur, the Go plugin is top notch. It even has a fantastic vim emulation plugin that works reasonably well.

Are you confusing VSCode with Visual Studio? VSCode is not an IDE, it's an editor, much like Atom.

I think we can probably write a cockroach simulator that would pass a "cockroach turing test". Cockroaches aren't magic, it'd be simple heuristics to emulate something that'd pass as a cockroach to an average person

Are you trolling? I guess you don't know how much dedication and effort it takes to earn a good PhD. A PhD in STEM teaches you how to be a good scientist, how to think about problems and how to conduct research. These skills are very u

Engineering is about trade offs. Microservices are a fairly recent innovation, and there are many kinks that need to be worked out. Another issue is the overhead cost of maintaining a large number of decoupled, independent services. It'

The primary offering of microservices is decoupling and simplicity. They are language agnostic, communicating via HTTP /messaging/pattern matching. It's the opposite of verbose and traditional monolithic architectures that re

That depends, to be honest. 60% accuracy, depending on the task, is far better than guessing at random. Secondly, depending on the task, human performance may not be that great either. Combined with controls, heuristics and validation, th
