Hipchat's on premise version doesn't work in an air gapped network with certain needed features (video chat is one). You do not want to know how much they ask per year for the on premise version (for greater than 10 users).

Honestly, I don't like tabbing terminal instances.

It could be worse. I worked for a company that still had VB6 apps in active use, and wanted to write new apps in VB6!

True, that's why I enable running explorer as a secondary process, so the desktop doesn't completely freeze.

My old Nexus 6 had similar issues, but then the wifi chip failed and I had it rma'ed. The camera fails as well when I try to autofocus. It seems like Nexus devices are somewhat plagued with issues. I'm knocking on wood that Goog

That and the fact the new MacBook pro doesn't work with the majority of currently released thunderbolt 3 accessories that use that old to chipset.

Do the new MacBook pros support display port chaining now?

This is disappointing, because some of us do work as contractors, or a civilian employees for military agencies. This is the same issue with Mosh (which uses a patented library with a restriction on military use).

The reason we stuck with jitsi-meet is that it could be self hosted on an semi-airgapped network, and not break without internet. Also, your friend should invest in a ssl cert, because your link goes directly to a privacy warning.

How is this compared to touchegg?

I managed a internal version of jitsi meet, its great, but it has had a bunch of glitches and issues with parties with more than ~15 people on it.

The only problem is that TB3 cables seem to be length limited, compared to USB PD cables.

That wouldn't be the TB15 dock? I have one and it has issues even on windows sometimes.

I use a pair of DT-770 pro 250 ohm with an amplifier. Works great but I really don't want to wear headphones all the time in the office.

Those in some places are going away (cubicles) because of companies consolidating spaces to pack more people in.

There are still many corporations and ISP's that haven't configured or support ipv6 yet.

Honestly this should cover a wider reach of people (6 figure salaries and below). Some of these non-complete agreements are so full of legalese its hard to determine the scope of them.

Next cloud is a fork of owncloud. Right now they haven't significantly diverged yet.

by compuguy 10y ago
Nextcloud is decent as well.

When they release a version of it with US 3G/4G bands, it would be an option.

by compuguy 10y ago
Honestly, with it supporting only 2.4 ghz, its uses are limited.

I stopped using startcom after their response to the heartbleed vulnerability.

There is globalsign and AlphaSSL....

Sounds like a great fit for me, if it has a remote option (East Coast)...

Sounds like they aren't using kvm or xen (even though most providers do not allow for image uploading). OpenVZ is even more frustrating when your working with ipv6 (UGH!).

Its happened to me to as well. Even the legitimate locksmiths charge a lot. For example for just re-keying a lock (if your moving into a new place).

Funny, usaa has a pretty good mobile app, with check scanning (unfortunately they only allow that if your military + credit card).

I checked and it seems they accept wire transfers, but you can't send them :(
329.
by compuguy 13y ago
It's a problem with online only banks also. I was in a similar situation with a closing, needing a cashiers check from usaa. I had to wire the money instead. Does simple allow for wire transfers?

I guess that cancels out cities and suburbs that have underground power lines.....
