Great article. I had never heard of dh-virtualenv but will be looking into it. How has your experience with Ansible been so far? I have dabbled with it but haven't taken the plunge yet. Curious how it has been working out for you all.

"Not crazy" is a low standard. The point is I shouldn't have had to exert any mental energy whatsoever to understand what those variable names represented.

Its a race to the bottom. Online newspapers are really feeling the squeeze with regards to declining ad revenue. Everybody has to adopt the click-bait tactics now or be left behind.

His variable names really bother me. I can live with "lat", "lon" if I must, but "d", "md", "trkpts"? Readability would be greatly enhanced if he just spelled those out. Programmers shouldn&
