I'm a web designer (PSD -> WordPress) and I started learning programming around the time Light Table was funded on KickStarter. It's been nice to see the project grow with my programming skills. Although I still don't feel like a decent

I'm in a semi-similar situation. I'm 23, graduated college a year ago, but I focused on music. I knew some html/css and got a job as a developer and taught myself to code WP themes from scratch. I'm a good graphic designer, but programming

Really nice, I really enjoy the design. I have been thinking of making something semi-similar.

Thanks for the advice. I am really interested in RoR, but I have heard it is tricky as you say. I may just stick with Python until I feel comfortable with it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have ideas I just don't know if I should start with those, or work on open-source projects beforehand. I think I'm going to go with the ladder.

Thanks. I've just been checking StackOverflow, and I hang out on IRC from time to time.. I had a programming mentor who I met via Reddit, but he went MIA on helping me out after a few months payment. :[

After building some responsive sites in the past few months, I think Responsive Design is worth the extra effort.

Very nice! I'm actually using SimplePie ( http://www.simplepie.org/ ) which I found a pleasure to work with. I'll take your comments into consideration. I was thinking to try to sort the stories by popularity (measured by # of clicks?) as w

I really like those ideas. I definitely want to get rid of dupes somehow, but as you said it definitely will take some work. Thanks!

I always use Photoshop for my mockups for clients, but I'm still pretty new to web design. I've only been at it about 5-6 months, with 1-2 years experience in graphic design. Any advice?

I started using http://plug.dj the past few weeks and I'm liking it much more than turntable. For one, it's international and you can stream/watch YouTube videos and play SoundCloud in the room. There's also an option to import your Turnt
