Wanting to increase diversity is a good thing, so kudos for that. However you should -never- -ever- -ever- indicate a preference towards a race, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. Did I say ever? Ever. Ever. Ever. It's dis

My math is probably wrong... but I believe if you ate a twinkie for every request at the end of a year it would take 1,350 Blue Marlin heavy lift ships to move you across the ocean.

This is a really good point, it was the first thing I noticed as well. 17 responses isn't even enough to throw a margin of error at, the entire survey is effectively a margin of error of 100%. If it really was only 17 responses that's the e

Yeah, military and space hardware feels like a given. You could always say the Voyager is the oldest running program. I'd be more interested to hear about computers that are in use being actively changed, with new software coming out on the

Hrm, interesting but I was hoping for a bit more. These are mostly collectors keeping things around for nostalgia purposes. I was hoping to hear more about legitimate systems being run on 20/30/40 year old systems.

Great work! I have two suggestions: Build an application in Clojure and in C/C++. IMO you should try a functional language (doesn't have to be clojure) and a lower level language. It could be a clojure webapp and a C++ opengl game... doesn'

One thing I absolutely do not agree with is Bryan Caplan’s laughably narrow-minded view on people that do not attend college. Not everyone turns 18 and suddenly has everything they need but simply decides not go to because, like, non-confor

Here's an example of something that I do not believe would work in modern browsers: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms970405.aspx If your entire application was created like that then you are talking about a significant overhaul.

The problem I see is that this is really just your perspective of the project. It could very well be that the 0.5 gamma curve is really a hyperbolic sine ( http://mathworld.wolfram.com/HyperbolicSine.html ). If it is, are you going to have
