I co-work in one. The people who also co-work there are friendly, and they do have good amenities. Honestly, they upped the game of co-working spaces in my city. I don't work consistently in the office to warrant renting my own office

I remain skeptical that it'll make a dent, honestly. People will still use Twitter, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Amazon, etc. because they provide enough convenience and positive experiences that outweigh the perceived negatives. I mean

The problem is that some of the Nanodegree's are fairly trivial to get as solution code is available on Github. For me at least, the Nanodegree wasn't a defining feature for me so much as having very high quality produced videos.

I'd be surprised if the FTC were cracking down on YouTubers or bloggers at a wide scale.

It still irks me that something as rare and prestigious as the World Cup (and Olympic Hockey) can get decided by shootouts. I mean, I get it, football has a huge pitch and it'd probably be ridiculous to have guys exhausted, barely able

It's unfortunate, but the reason why I turned them off is because of a large number of uploaders who abused annotations with stupid annoying messages that added nothing to the video. It sucks for creators who legitimately used it as co

It's funny to see so many enthusiast rMBP users out there. It's absolutely incredible how long my rMBP has lasted the thousands of hours of wear and tear of travel. At this point, my battery is pretty much non-existent and the bod

Yeah isn’t there a named phenomenon when an expert reads an article from a source, realizes it’s full of factual errors, dismisses the article only to continue reading the rest of the articles from the exact same source?

I'm going to be curious how it stands up to wear and tear. I notice that these types of terminals which are brought to tables tend to be pretty beat up.

> FB feels like the opposite experience to me - crappy product decisions, bloated UX, bad will. Which almost feels ironic given that they tend to hire some of the best designers around the world.

Thing is if I'm eating at a fast-food restaurant, I'm not that bothered by food quality. In-n-Out doesn't have anywhere close to the same burger quality I could get at other joints, but it's cheap and relatively good for

Practically every product/service I can think of is more expensive here than other countries, namely the U.S. Yet the wages aren't exactly higher than other developed countries like the U.S. I don't really get it.

Maybe. A close friend of mine used pills instead of a pistol. Thankfully they didn’t succeed in their endeavour but the fact is people who are intent on doing the deed will find a method.

Might be nostalgia speaking, but I recall as a youngter crawling every folder to figure out what the heck each thing did. Without the internet or search engine, I resorted to reading text files, manuals, etc.

While I dislike FB, I don't blame researchers/profs for joining FB when the numerous advantages for joining them dwarf what you could get at a lot of other institutions. Reminds me of how on the one hand it sucks that certain tale
