I am 50/50 with this. Livecoding is very hit and miss. If the answer comes into your head under the pressure, all good. If it doesn't you look incompetent. Usually it's 50/50 for me. So 2 hours of effort would likely get

That's a red flag to me.I want to at least speak with someone on the tech team before I agree to do a few hours of work for free.

If a solution to a problem is available on github it would make sense to use it if it solves the problem.

The best interview experience that I had, the interviewer asked me to bring in a laptop with some of my code. I did, we went through it talked about it, he asked me to add a simple feature, I did. Code I was familiar with (like in a day job

I hope so, but the last two and a half years hasn't given me much reason to believe it will happen. Most people I know willingly signed up for a vaccine based social credit system without much question.

how can people actually believe this pseudoscience. What models have been accurate for a number of year? The IPCC one just averages others, so that is cheating.

This is pure speculation, not based in any kind of falsifiable science.

What won't net zero be enough for? The mythical climate change boogeyman, that's hasn't melted all the glaciers or put Manhattan underwater like we were warned of 30 years ago.The fearmongering is all based on models- and cov

Am I missing something? 2 ^ 30 is over 1 billion. So a properly indexed table with 1 billion rows will take a similar effort to search as a 30 row unindexed table. Or are there other factors coming into play that I haven't thought of.

Where is the electricity coming from to charge your electric vehicles? Electric vehicles have a lot of potential to reduce pollution and noise in cities, but as a solution to "fixing" inevitable climate they are a con.

More hysteria based on models. We saw with covid how unreliable and destructive this new form of crystal ball reading. Falsifiable and thus pseudo science.

As an experienced dev I get plenty of recruiter contacting me. If you aren't going to tell me what I can earn, then there is a good chance that it's a waste of my time going through the process to find out it isn't enough.
