But who is disagreeing on facts? Stolen is an opinion about whether the purge qualifies or not. The 2020 deniers have no fact based claim at all.

Adding a different listing for every job instead of role just means applicants can’t find the listing that fits them. So we end up with “senior” listings that are looking to hire engineers for 100k but would be willing to pay 300 for the pe

Tons of people in Florida with the same name as felons were purged right before the election. Those people were overwhelmingly black and likely to vote for gore. I think hardly anyone says that’s a stolen election, but it’s definitely a bit

I don’t think people are smart enough generally. There’s a huge amount of money to be made spreading fake news. Just like you shouldn’t represent yourself in court, the professionals will always find ways to beat the hobbyists.

Obviously it’s contradictory, that’s the point. As to your second point, what about social networks not showing content that they believe to be objectionable. Does that count as “not forcing someone to stop and pay attention to you if they

I’m sure they crunched the numbers and found that the gain from targeted ads toward the people that sign up is bigger than the loss of people who don’t use Twitter because of the annoyance. Instagram is even worse for what it’s worth.

Twitter has like 5 billion in revenue. They can probably get profitable, and laying off a quarter of the company is how they’ll do it.

There are people on my team that haven’t committed anything for a couple weeks. I don’t work at Twitter, but wouldn’t be surprised if there were people who basically weren’t working.

But I’m saying that’s not true. My thesis is that meta’s share price has next to 0 effect on how much mark chooses to shove into reality labs.

I think this is a pretty interesting idea. I think it’s less about business strategy/acquisitions and more about increasing buyback power. Meta took a $10 billion loan this year in order to increase buybacks, my understanding is that t

I mean they only really have two choices. Stick with meta and hope mark gets distracted from the reality labs stuff or sell. Most seem to have chosen to sell.

I’m not sure it was a mistake though. You have to ask yourself what marks goals are here. To me, being cash flow positive is pretty far down the list. Meta could have results like the one last week for a decade and mark would still be a bil

The beautiful thing about grabby aliens is that it only takes one grabby civilization for the theory to be true. It’s not assuming that there are tons of civilizations that act like that, it’s saying that if there is even one then we won’t

Meta literally facilitated genocide in Myanmar as well as sex slavery by failing to properly screen ads and in some cases didn't even have anybody who could read the language they were in.

The only real question that meta has is Mark. As far as I can tell there is no reason for mark to ever listen to investors and scrap his passion projects in order to increase profitability. Sure he'll crank up the ads to keep them happ

I don't think the fermi paradox assumes that. Aliens don't have to want to be seen for us to see them. All it takes is one civilization failing to hide for us to see aliens, so the question then is "why has every single intel
