I love the design. Something about it makes me feel like I'm planning a vacation, rather than a career. Nice work.

Uniqueness validation is built into the collections API. If you attempt to add a model with a duplicate ID you'll get a 400 error. In addition you can specify validation rules in the config.yml file. Some additional info here: http://backl

Cool! I think it's a reasonable assumption for rendr to make, since using "real" URLs is a best practice regardless!

The cool part is that Rendr builds a backbone hierarchy around server generated HTML, attaching the rich interactions after the page has been displayed. Although, if the user starts to interact before that view hierarchy has been constructe

Yes. The worst you might see is a few seconds of mismatched styling, or an occasional error that would resolve when the next dropbox cycle pushes a refresh. The only deployment operations that involve inter-file dependencies at this time ar

With Backlift, you explicitly set the order that the files should be linked or concatenated in the config.yml file. When assets are sent over via dropbox, backlift compiles each source file into a separate js or css product. Then all files

Thanks a ton for the kind words! I'm not familiar with CanCan-- it looks very expressive. A role based system is a pretty significant departure from our current ACL per model approach. I think I need some more input, in the form of practica

This article presents a false dichotomy: "Could you afford the kinds of fines that Mr. Warren was facing? If not, take your listing down." This assumes that a majority of hosts are breaking the law. Yet early in the article the author claim

The few uber drivers I've talked to love the service. One driver told me that, with uber, he can often find a nearby fare in minutes. He said that the combination of flags, the dispatcher, and über means the meter is always running. It's pr
