IANAL, but as someone who has used both tio.run and repl.it, I have difficulty seeing what sort of “competition” this constitutes (Riju, in my eyes, being very very similar to tio). Otherwise I would expect tio to have received some threate

I think it's hyperbole. Not that I doubt there are jobs which pay this, but from what I've seen of the market, if money is all you're concerned with you should not be turning your nose up at a 200k TC offer.

I imagine part of the reason is because Java has the idiomatic usage of list.stream().functionalOperations.collect(Collectors.toList()) whereas in Haskell you can just do whatever on your lists and it should fuse... or so I thought. Clearly

The same can be said for the SAT. Unfortunately there seems to be significant enough overlap between "good test taker" (or in this case "good interviewee") and "good worker".

I'm still new to the industry, but my CS education (yours may differ) was quite theory-heavy. Perhaps the knowledge of data structures and algorithms can be useful for people who need to design whole architectures and systems, but I th

I am inclined to agree. I think the issue is just with the HN title. The repo does say that it is for interview prep. I will say that I've seen some companies improve their interview questions to be less about having CS insight or algo

Thanks for making this! Is there any way for a browser plugin to use client-side JS without the site using it? I know this might be a stupid question, but I know very little of extension and frontend development. That aside, if it isn'

It looks very similar to tikzcd-editor. Glad people are making tools like this -- I always felt so cool putting diagrams in my homework and tikzcd-editor was what allowed me to. I'm sure the graders appreciated it, too, since my handwr

I wonder how many people are informing their opinions solely from the gross incompetence exhibited by Apple with your mentioned double tapping keys issue. I seem to recall that they have fixed it in newer models, but I wouldn't be surp

I think in this case "deserved" was used in the same sense as "warranted," although I realize this doesn't change the main point you're making. What you're getting at is that people can be influenced by fa

Unlike the other comments so far, I have a link that is in my opinion NOT generally useful for most programmers. I figured it is worth a share for the programmer who knows all of the math in this post and wants to learn yet more: https:&#x

From my (limited) understanding of Genesis, I assumed nudity was thought to be fine, at least in the beginning. It was only after eating the forbidden fruit did Adam and Eve clothe themselves, presumably out of some sort of shame or "d

I don't think you're crazy, but if their work and your work are detached enough from BFS and linked lists, why use them as the assessment criteria? It's not really that difficult to make quotidian software engineering tasks i
