If someone were to use NSO paid hacking to attack Apple executives's devices and then release everything they found, I bet Apple might take this more seriously instead of having some PR flack write marketing copy. Same is true of any t

NSO is clearly in the business of selling surveillance to foreign entities, and saying they vet people is nothing but smoke as there is zero actual evidence other than their blanket statements. If some government or other customer tells the

It's too bad you couldn't just leave a space shuttle in orbit, and then fly to it to use its arm when needed. Or build something like a repair "truck" that once launched, never comes back. You just load it with fuel and

I worked on my Chemistry Masters around 1980 and it cost me nothing, they paid me a pittance as a grad student to teach but I got free tuition at a public university. Strange how much things cost today.

Like everything there are costs and benefits; sometimes people only focus on the benefits of "modern" practices and forget the costs associated with them, like stripping the soil, and the expense and side effects of chemicals. Fin

The only people that can pay to be an "astronaut" atm are billionaires, or close to. Someday maybe it might be something ordinary people can do, long after I am dead. When Disney builds a park in orbit or on Mars and fills it up,

The hottest I ever felt was 114° in the DFW area in Texas. I cannot even fathom another 16 degrees. Even with low humidity, 130° is a killer. Even worse though are places in the world not quite as hot, but with high humidity, where the body

None of the firms in Russia dare target a Russian based company for fear of elimination the hard way. Easier to attack another country.

People with 100% of any OS are likely to be more vulnerable than people with heterogeneous systems.

No one in their right mind would take a position that could get them imprisoned, especially when the government is highly likely to do so.

Never underestimate the power of greed to overwhelm any moral questions. Pay people enough and you will find some people will overlook even their own security.

If you gave me one for free I wouldn't live there, they may as well be identical White Houses, or McMansions. I hate neighborhoods made up of dozens of the same floor plan and colors, yet developers keep insisting on that.

I've always wondered that in a theoretical pure market economy where success ultimately leads to domination of one or more competitors, and failure for everyone else, will always result in a more restrictive market economy afterwards.

It could just as easily have been tested extensively but no testing is 100% guaranteed, especially in a world wide service as complex as a CDN. People who think perfect code comes purely from testing are delusional.
