It would explain all the effects people are getting out of it. Basically suddenly being able to drop every problematic impulsive behavior on the list. I would be very interested in what happens with all their other impulsive behaviors, the

Right, and what did you search for if I may ask? This took me about three clicks to find: https://cagj.org/2020/04/the-nation-bill-gatess-charity-para... Which sounds more like the BG I know from back in the days.

Sure, but in this case the lies ended up packaged as the official tourism statistics report from the government, and I'm pretty sure it was neither the first nor last time that happened.

That's my feeling, and it makes me sad because I have largely given up on C++ for that reason.

There's a lot I love about Swift, but I fear it's quickly becoming too complicated for its own good. There are just so many ways to solve a problem now that it's more or less impossible for someone to be familiar with all of

No, I don't collect these things, I prefer to spend as little time as possible thinking about Bill Gates. But everything you could possibly want to know is a Google search away.

I don't get how it happened, it's like an epidemic on this site. It's not like it takes a lot of effort to find out the truth about that scumbag.

Never trust statistics. I once worked on a reservation system for some pretty big ski resorts. We were running late, working nights, and one of the last things we had to finish was the official statistics reports about number of guest night

Containerization unfortunately pretty much killed embedded DBs; it's a shame, because you can squeeze a lot of performance out of not having to access the DB over a network.

If you split off a small, isolated part of the application; that's pretty much the definition of a microservice.

Ah, of course; templates and linking the full object. Thanks for the update, my C++ is pretty rusty. But it brings up another problem for me; when iterating a list like that, how do you know which of the links to follow? I get that you can

metoo, but how do you pull that off in C++? How do you get back from node to containing value? Multiple inheritance, possible but you'd have to jump some hoops to disambiguate since you're dealing with multiple copies of the same

But they're not building trees, that's how inheritance is mostly used today. After reading this, I'm thinking that intrusive lists is the one use of inheritance in C++ that makes any sense.
