Most American houses where I live have mud rooms. I think you may be generalizing based on house design. New Englanders certainly do; Ranches do not. Split-Levels have a landing that are used as a mud room.

I really hate Liliputing. After browsing, I somehow have several tiny laptops that I don't need but truly love like the Magic Ben MAG1 and the Pomera DM30. And Jetpens. I hate Jetpens too. I can't believe how many...

Thank you, you are very kind! I will contact you shortly, I would love to make this happen!

I sent you a message, I would be happy to make a board for your mom!

Huh. You are right. I think stress and grief caused me to overlook the obvious; - post a 'contact us' if you want people to contact you, and - post a downloadable PDF if you want people to use it. I guess this is why doctors don

Actually, I think I just forgot to put the newer, generic version up on the site for download. Good thinking!

I was shocked to find that out too. A friend pointed out it helps for people on ventilators, was that your case?

I tailor them upon request. I would like to make a self-serve site, but don't have the time or skills. I would prefer to give this away, people are usually in their worst moments, so a little generosity makes me feel like I make the wo

Not sure if it counts as tech, but I created a voiceboard for my mother to help her communicate while in hospice. She had a massive stroke and could no longer speak. I thought of a tablet app, but the stakes were too high, so it wound up as

Me too. I spent New Years Eve reviewing my journals (wife was sleeping) all the way back from 2013 and found some very enlightening arcs that would not be available with transient data. Some things just need to be read rather than presented

It's dead simple: you have a Congressional aide follow you around with pockets stuffed with mobile phones.

I think you will see private, maybe even self-hosted AI. Think about using online stock trading versus having a Bloomberg terminal.

I tried it yesterday and it was great! Really simple to set up. Looking forward to updating and trying out the new changes. Thank you for this work!

I quite liked the skyrhákarl in very small doses. When we entered the fish shop we thought they were closed and cleaning the floors, the ammonia scent was so strong. Eating it, it had a spritz and fizz like PopRocks. Impossible to describe,

There is a candlepin alley about a mile away from my house, very popular with the leagues. It helps that it's right next to a restaurant and across the street from the French-Canadian social club.

This was when my daughter was quite young, elementary school. Dinner at 500, bedtime at 800. Doesn't matter what others think, your kid needs food and sleep to meet their needs, not neighbors.

I strongly agree with the last points. My daughter is a very pretty and stylish engineer that has built a firm financial foundation and has no debts. Because of this, she is free to take risks that others can only dream of.

Be there for your kids. We made career choices that prioritized our time with our children so we could be present, to the point that one major publishing firm knew I would be cooking dinner if they called me after 430pm. Be fully present wh

There is a lot of work connecting various platforms via API. Marketing agencies in particular need this service. You could look at the big CRM platforms like Salesforce which require only a modified version of Java called Apex to customize.

I regularly use the SGI Indy keyboard. At this point, it's a sickly yellow-green with 'granite' flecks that make it look like it's The Pox incarnate, but the key movement is beautiful.

Thanks a LOT! Now I have yet another piece of vintage equipment to lust after. Heidelbergs were awesome scanners. I would love to get my hands on an old commercial stat camera as well. And a barn to house all of this stuff in.

Wet scanning was the default for drum scanners, the gold standard in the 90s. Essentially, you lay a drop of mineral oil on the glass drum, create a bond with the negative and then tape it down for good measure since the drum spun at a pret

The old-school way to scan film is to lay the film directly on glass with a thin layer of mineral oil. Works terrific for medium and large format. We used to do this for drum scanners. https://www.analogfilm.camera/scanning&
