I'm working on the Go compiler support. A small hitch in cgo compilation and then it'll be done. Have to work with the Guix maintainers to get the package up to snuff as well.

Hm. Well, that renders instantly for me on intel hd 5000 + firefox 41.. compared to chrome on linux and it was identical to my eyes, but I haven't measured yet.

Yes - it's focused on their javascript engine. As far as visualization stuff, are you on linux? I found out that firefox by default turns off the off main thread compositing support. Enabling this was a huge performance boost for me,

Could this be because large phablets are now fairly standard? Even the iPhone 6 (not plus) would seem monstrous to me a year or more ago, but now is fairly standard. My S4 seems small now.
