I personally follow the CDC guidelines. I think if everyone equally trusted CDC we wouldn't have the kind of outbreaks that we have seen in the past year. So raising doubts in CDC's credibility overall is hurtful IMO. That doesn&#

It's funny that if you look at the background of the image Signal posted you see pretty clearly their account was disabled due to some unusual account activity not ad violation. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E0lx59fW

After refreshing Amazon's Ryzen page for a month to get a 5950x, I finally bit the bullet and paid 200$ extra to buy it from a scalper. Even though I paid more than the list price I think the value of this CPU is insane compared to the

"He's done worse before, why now?" is not a very strong argument IMO. Are we better off without him on twitter? IMO, yes. Then this is a positive move. I also think Twitter/Facebook should have clear guidelines for intol

I have mixed feelings about this subject. On the one hand I would like Google/FB to remove antivax content on all of their platforms as it's immediately dangerous to people and unanimously debunked by scientists. On the other hand

The chip seems to be A14 + 2 extra high performance cpu cores + 4 gpu cores. That's cool, but that's not a great leap for Apple. The real news here is that macOS now runs on ARM processors. Keep your old tablets around, you may so

The title is click-bait. This has been known for several years[1], the technique has little practical value, and the assertion that you can learn from no data is completely false and misleading. The training data was compressed to a few exa

I believe the vast majority of the content you see on Twitter and pretty much everything you see on Facebook is from people you follow (ads excluded). Twitter/FB though use an algorithmic feed mechanism to reorder the posts which makes

It's hard to pinpoint a few topics. I'd just suggest to go through an introductory course like Gilbert Strang's intro to linear algebra to get a general understanding and build on your knowledge as needed.

Firstly: If you don't direct or mention about the external payment system in the app it doesn't break any of Apple rules. They can charge 1000$ on their own website and not pay a penny to Apple if they just don't link to thei

"ProtonMail says that Apple forced it to monetize its app". I stopped there. I have seen a lot of articles like this misleading the public about the issue. Apple didn't force them to monetize anything. It was monetized. Apple

I grew up in a developing country. In some ways (e.g. quality of roads or number of homeless per mile) my home country is even better than California. Have you lived in a developing country? (Hint: It's not as bad as you think) The fac
