Your reply contains some weird non-sequiters. Nvidia is right on target when they say there is no "magic" autoparallelizing compiler. The autoparallelization they talk about, and the scheduling issues you talk about, are completely unrelat

You should do an introductory article for technical audiences yourself perhaps. Or maybe you already have one?

You are completely ignoring the MS Office market. Try typing an essay or a report on an iPad or making a good presentation. You certainly can, but its not even remotely efficient (or a good "user experience" or "magical").

For Linux buying options, I would recommend System76: a variety of systems (desktops, laptops, servers) with Ubuntu preloaded. They are a Linux-only vendor and so are serious about making sure their hardware choices are Linux compatible. Th

To people not in the know, the actual physical sensor size (in mm^2) is many many times larger than say the iPhone 4S and at least twice as large as many standalone compact cameras . The biggest sensor before this in any cameraphone has bee

The title is not correct. A movie studio, Reliance Entertainment, won a case in the court where the judge ordered ban of a few sites such as Megaupload. Given that it is a court order, ISPs (all of them) had to block it. In this case, it is

To those new to Open64, it is a high-quality compiler, with some good internal design and good optimization phases. SGI's former compiler team was highly respected within the compiler community. It is unfortunate that it is not more well-kn
