Yeah, it’s no big deal for static content. My little Raspberry Pi had no trouble with it even though it uses a SQLite DB. https://joeldare.com/private-analtyics-and-my-raspberry-pi-4... Granted, it was a Sunday.

Interesting. I just wrote a very similar shell in Go. http://github.com/codazoda/goshell I also recorded a “live coding” style video of it. I haven’t released that yet. I plan to start releasing weekly video’s in Janua

Ever use that roof top tent in urban areas? How hard is that? Where I live you can park on the street for 48 hours. I suspect, however, that you can’t sleep there. You would get a knock at the very least. So, I’ve considered an incognito va

I’m a casual photographer. I once purchased a $20 digital “toy” camera. I believe I got some of the best pictures I’ve ever taken from that camera. Unfortunately I stored them on a cloud service and they eventually decided to wipe them out.

For me it was mostly the same, but I do prefer simple minimalist systems for my own work. I started in 1995 building an in-house Windows app for support staff at Iomega. I was a support person, and not a professional programmer, though I ha

Nice. I’d love to see pics of that setup. I use Namecheap for domains and they have a simple dynamic DNS service built in. I just hit it with curl four times an hour.

Or, just use the 5,000 as a soft limit and lead list. Once a client goes over, reach out with an upgrade offer.

I think a likely reason for the Pi marks is that there’s lots of work to be done on the 64-bit OS. They still recommend the 32-bit version even though newer Pi’s have 64-bit CPU’s. I researched this a bit when I configured a Raspberry Pi 40

I’d rather add new contacts to an app like this than use share my existing ones. There’s just too much info there.

I thought the opposite. How can this not be at least a nationwide, if not worldwide reality? I live in the suburbs of Northern Utah. I’ve had bikes stolen from my yard, items stolen from my truck, money stolen from my wife’s purse, and thos

I built this because I wanted to show you that it's still possible (dare I say easy) to run a server at home. I wanted the nostalgia of watching people connect to a machine in my bedroom. I'm also increasingly concerned about pri

I believe they use a font that works well for time. So each page covers approximately the same amount of screen time. Probably a bit of tradition there too.

I’m American and feel like I live in the “in-between” too. I measure people in ft and lbs. I measure wood in ft and inches. I design 3D objects in cm and mm unless I’m building in wood, in which case I’m back to feet and inches. I measure s

I think the U.S. federal government is working on a payment system. At first it will just work between banks. I dunno if that means consumers can use it between their banks or if it means B2B bank transactions, but they are working on somet

I created the Neat CSS framework in the same spirit. It's so minimalist that there's no publishing system; you just grab the CSS file and write HTML. I use it for all kinds of sites, including the occasional blog. https:/&#x
