The channel is definitely not targeted for the lay person. A counter example, Derek from Veritasium, he did a phd in physics education and it shows. Some of his videos are complex in content, but dumbed down so most people can understand. I

Low price and no ads were two of the main selling points to ditch cable (along with stream whenever you want). We reached the point were price is almost as high as cable was (with the standard 4-5 subscriptions), and we have ads. This is no

I enjoyed talking to Lonnie the owner when I was in the area. My only complaint is the gym can become a bit crowded, quite often I had to wait for the power racks. It baffles me how there’s no more strength gyms in the area, most places I s

Abundant carbon is not the most compelling reason for aliens to be carbon based. Carbon is one of a few elements to be able to easily bind to other elements including itself and able to form long and complex chains. Silicon is another that

I really wanted to like them. They kept falling out of my ear with all tips, and at almost $300, I didn’t want to have to buy aftermarket foam tips or ear hooks. The sound is great and the Bluetooth pairing is excellent though.

Very few side businesses would cut it as well. I wonder if growing a successful 7 figure income is easier than becoming a 7 figure exec.

Except houses aren’t cashflowing? I’ve been tracking mortgage vs rent ratio in tech hubs in case I have to RTO. Mortgages are 2x rents. It’s better in MCOL but it’s still hard to cashflow with current interest rates. You can say they are pa

How will this project avoid being sued to death by platforms? I’ve thought of starting a similar project for paid tv/movie streaming services, but got discouraged since a lawsuit can erase thousands of hours poured into the project.

Not "just water". Ultrasonic humidifiers aerosolize the water including whatever particles are on the water (e.g. calcium). This is in contrast with steam humidifiers, which evaporate "just water". This is due to water e

Love it! MacOS is great by many measures, but it's interesting devs keep developing apps to replicate what other operating systems do and are considered basic features (rectangle, alttab, bartender, calendar). Don't want to start

Am I too dumb or is this title/abstract click bait? A Maxwell Demon would break physics as we know it.

Nah, thanks. I'd rather have one person drive one truck efficiently than 50 people drive an SUV. Sounds more climate efficient to me. I also prefer my mailman to deliver mail than dozens (or hundreds?) of people driving and cramming th

I get the sentiment, but we should blame the system. The reps are just trying to make a living for a low pay and don't have much power to change things.

Right, I don't have any proof, but I think it would be the other way around. Top execs are often married to their jobs with less time for family. Actors are exposed often to very liberal and beautiful people (affairs are common). And p
