The web configuration bring in a hell lot of dependencies. Please make it a separate project. Also if the readline part can be extracted to a separate executable, then it will be amazing. Imagine a fish like completion with psql.

Can't you just plug 2 keyboards, with 1 of them GMK based?

I like the idea of using AWK for this. But you can give kdb/q a try. 250M rows is nothing for kdb, and it seemed that you can afford the license.

The point of Forth/Joy is that the language is so simple, you don't need compiler. It is a minimum language.

Unix pipeline a category, with text be object, and executable be morphisim converting text to text(monoid). Forth is a category, with stack as object, functions as morphisim. There are many examples. Best learn from haskell.

I hate things mostly work. Countless of hour of debugging, refactoring on the way. A system need to be designed first, proved correct first.

http://forth.works/examples/AddingVectors.retro.html Here is the retro forth version of adding vector that I was talking about. Tri@ apply function (2+x)on top 3 items. So get address of the 3rd element of c b a ..

That is an unfair comparison. Forth is designed to run on metal, with no os, no stdlibc, no vector. Can any of other language do that? In fact, by just adding first class function, retro forth makes the code way easier to read.

I'd like to say thank you too. I've studied your code many times, and it helps me understand forth finally. I was attracted by colorforth first, which is harder.
