Does Rackspace provide no Node support? That's very surprising.

And as of last week, with the 2.0 release, you can now build desktop apps using RubyMotion as well. I kind of think that was the nail in the MacRuby coffin, for better or for worse.

I second this. I demoed the Sugarcube repl for our mobile team (I'm primarily a JavaScript dev who has fallen in love with RM) and everyone was universally blown away. It's the most useful thing ever -- well that, combined with Teacup.

Anything designed around non-uniform rows and columns is immediately a no-no in my book. I was very pleased when Facebook reverted that change back to the single column

I wish more people were familiar with Ibogaine. It's expensive, but it's helped two friends completely return to life with no withdrawal symptoms or desire to use again. It has properties that break opiate withdrawal almost instantaneously

I agree. Its SO much different, and so infinitely fascinating. Every time I've made it "through" it was an utterly different world that was populated by autonomous, interacting intelligence. I posted this because I feel it a very real pos

I'd like to humbly suggest that, if given the opportunity, one experiment with DMT. It's the closest thing to a "nearest neighbor" argument that I can come up with, but of course I have no explanation. This is the best write-up that I've c

This has been the single most important book I've read in my JavaScript career. It's priceless, and really pushed me towards daily best-practices that I would have otherwise been unaware of coming from a different language. Thank you!

Not to sound cynical, but you live two hours from SEATTLE. If you have skills, you WILL find work here, particularly tech work. End of story!

I totally agree with this. I learned so much about iOS and Objective-C from starting development with RubyMotion. I guess that's my gotcha: you'll end up in Objective-C even if you're trying to avoid it, and that will be... just fine!

Everyone needs to read the rest of the site. It's one of the most interesting domains I've ever come across. Fascinating guy through and through, and his short stories are excellent.
